They did, however, decline 3.1% from January.

According to SIA President and CEO John Neuffer, who was cited in the announcement, "February year-over-year sales rose by the largest percentage since May 2022, and the market upturn is projected to continue for the remainder of the year."

In February, sales increased by 22% in the Americas compared to the same month the previous year, by 28.8% in China, and by 15.4% in Asia-Pacific and other areas. In the meantime, they fell by 3.4% in Europe and 8.5% in Japan.

In comparison to January, chip sales dropped 3.9% in the Americas, 2.3% in Europe, 2.5% in Japan, 4.3% in the PRC, and 1.3% in APAC.

About 66% of international chipmakers and 99% of American chipmakers are members of SIA.
