Amazon To Introduce Music Subscription Services With A Monthly Charge Of ‘$5’

Recode breaks the news, quoting sources, about Amazon’s next musical venture.



The company of Amazon.com Inc is busy developing a “music subscription service” that would be available at a monthly rate of “$5”, while the same would “only work on its Echo hardware”. The said information was reported by Recode, a “tech news website”, which citied the source whereby the said information was received.
 
Amazon has plans of launching the same services in the month of September. However, it has not fixed on the “deals with major music labels and publishers” yet.
 
According Reuters June report:
“Amazon was preparing to launch a standalone music streaming subscription service at $9.99 per month, in line with major rivals”.
 
While, Recode brings out “one sticking point”, which is, as per the sources, the question, whether, Amazon is willing to “sell the cheaper service for $4 or $5 a month”. On the other hand, Amazon could not be immediately contacted for any comments.
