Piasa achieved the artist's highest hammer price, €56,000, for This Way is Not Easy 2 (2011) by Omar Ba.
In 2014, the Piasa Auction House found no buyers for a monumental work (203 x 150 cm/80 x 59 in), Au royaume des pyromanes (In the Kingdom of Pyromaniacs), offered at a low estimate of €16,000. Four years later, prices had already doubled in galleries and equivalent paintings were in demand at €32,000. As a result, in June 2020, Piasa achieved the artist's highest hammer price to date, €56,000, for This Way is Not Easy 2 (2011). Ba's works already feature in several major museums, including the Louis Vuitton Foundation for Contemporary Art and the permanent collection of the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
