The ministry stated in a release that to execute the agreement made during the high-level economic and trade discussions between China and the US, it was determined that the previously mentioned measures will remain suspended for a period of 90 days beginning on August 12, 2025.

It mentioned that if dual-use items are to be exported for the 28 designated US firms, the exporter must submit an application to the Ministry of Commerce, which will perform an inspection. An export permit will be granted if the goods' nomenclature adheres to Chinese regulations.

According to reports, US President Donald Trump, through his executive order dated August 11, delayed the implementation of tariffs on Chinese products for an additional 90 days - until November 10, 2025.

The order specifies that the extension occurred because ongoing negotiations with China show that “China is making substantial efforts to rectify unreciprocal trade agreements and tackle U.S. economic and national security issues.”

The earlier 90-day tariff exemption was scheduled to end on Tuesday, August 12.
