Dubai overtakes New York in Savills' Best Cities for Millionaires ranking

Dubai has been recognized as the most appealing city for high-net-worth individuals according to a report published by real estate firm Savills Plc.

The company analyzed 30 major cities worldwide. Dubai's attractiveness is due to several factors, such as the lack of inheritance and capital gains taxes, well-developed infrastructure, a high level of safety, and having the largest number of international schools among all cities.

Additionally, the UAE provides a "golden visa," which offers 10 years of residency and tax benefits in return for an investment of AED 2 million, which is roughly $544,500.

New York City came in second in the rankings. Experts highlighted its strong business environment, tax advantages, and political stability.

When considering homes for wealthy older adults, inheritance tax is a crucial factor. London, which ranked first in living standards, dropped in the overall ranking because of the UK's tax policies, which have led to decreased demand for luxury properties this year.
