The watchdog additionally determined that Meta's business approach, which allowed EU users of Facebook and Instagram to opt between consenting to the collection of personal data for targeted advertising or paying for a monthly ad-free subscription, violated the DMA.
Apple and Meta need to adhere to the EC's decisions within 60 days, or they may encounter further penalties.
