"We can gain significant insights from Ukraine. (...) It has gathered significant expertise in fighting drones. (...)," the spokesperson stated during a briefing in Brussels on Thursday, adding that Ukraine is completely involved in the negotiations we're having about establishing a potential anti-drone barrier.

"We are presently collaborating closely with our Member States and Ukraine. A comprehensive discussion occurred yesterday, and the Commission is now operating at full capacity on a plan, which we will unveil in mid-October," Regnier stated.

After the informal EU summit held in Copenhagen on October 1, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, highlighted the significance of the "anti-drone wall" initiative for enhancing the EU's defense strength.

"This system allows for quick detection, interception, and, if required, neutralization." "At a press conference, the EC President stated that we heavily depend on Ukraine's experience, so we need to progress swiftly, in collaboration with Ukraine and closely alongside NATO."
