Waste cooking fats from more than 300 Hesburger restaurants in Finland and the Baltic States will be recycled to produce renewable diesel," it said.

It is specified that the chain's restaurants in Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania produce up to 420 tonnes of fat annually.

Thus the fast-food chain will reduce emissions of greenhouse gases in transport by 90%.

The companies conducted a social survey among the Finns and found that the majority of Finns (52%) find it difficult to apply climate change measures outside their homes.
