McDonald’s Corp., based in the U.S., intends to offer around $8.5 billion in assistance to its franchisees until 2036, as stated in a company press release.

Out of this total, $5 billion will be allocated until 2030.

These actions are components of the "Accelerating the Arches" (or "NEXT") initiative introduced in June, aimed at enhancing product quality, service standards, and restaurant productivity. The programs seek to expedite modernization, encourage technology use, and enhance operations at the sites; franchisee support will comprise help with rent expenses.

By implementing these measures, the company anticipates increasing gross restaurant efficiency by 250 basis points. This is expected to create an extra $100,000 in yearly cash flow for the typical U.S. restaurant, enabling it to recover its investment in four years.

McDonald's predicts that the growth of its restaurant network will add 2.5% to overall sales growth next year, with this contribution declining to 2% by 2030; general and administrative (G&A) costs are anticipated to remain at approximately 1.9% of overall sales. Operating margins are expected to fall between 50% and 56% (low-to-mid 50s) by the year 2030. Capital expenditures for 2027–2030 are designated at $3 billion each year, alongside an extra $1.5–2 billion set aside for supporting franchisees.

Additionally, the firm revealed intentions to boost its market share in the chicken and beverage sectors by 1.5 percentage points by 2030 while retaining its dominance in the beef sector.
