Microsoft & Sony On Their Upcoming Xbox Technologies

The Microsoft 4k gaming world will support virtual reality, while Sony’s VR headsets will turn the experience more exciting.



The Microsoft Corp has revealed the details of 'Project Scorpio' which deals with a “new Xbox console”. The same has been designed to support the virtual reality of “ultra-high resolution gaming”.
 
Moreover, the company has also launched a “slimmer version of its Xbox One console”. The launch was timed with the “video game conference E3” that took place in Los Angeles. Project Scorpio with the ability of powering “virtual reality experiences” besides supporting 4K gaming systems, is likely to hit the markets in the “holiday season” of the coming year 2017.
 
In fact, the said console will be “compatible with Xbox One games and accessories”. However, other details of the project including the price have not been disclosed yet.
 
On the other hand, Sony Corp present in the conference also announced its plan of launching Sony’s “virtual reality headset for PlayStation” which will be available in the U.S. market by the middle of October. According to Reuters:
“Sony said it would add new titles to its PlayStation console, including Marvel's Spider-Man, God of War and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare”.
 
Similarly, the partnership of Oculus Rift and Microsoft, that started last year, has created “some Xbox One games” that can be played “on Oculus' virtual reality platform”, while Reuters also adds:
