Over the following four years, the sector's electricity demand is expected to increase at an average annual rate of 70%, from 15 TWh in 2023 to 224 TWh in 2027.

In 2022, Spain consumed about 230 TWh of energy.

Simultaneously, specialists at the bank anticipate that renewable energy sources would account for the majority of the electricity needed by the AI sector. As a result, businesses in the RES industry will benefit from the rapid advancement of technology.
