Netflix to pay up to $600 million for Ben Affleck's AI firm

American streaming service Netflix Inc. has purchased InterPositive, a company that focuses on AI technologies used in making movies.

According to the agency's sources, the company's valuation was less than the amount initially mentioned, but the owners of InterPositive might get more money if specific goals are achieved.

InterPositive was established in 2022 by actor and director Ben Affleck, with the backing of the investment company RedBird Capital Partners. It creates AI technologies that help with editing and post-production tasks.

The company's products were utilized, along with other applications, by director David Fincher while filming "The Adventures of Cliff Booth," which features Brad Pitt as one of the main actors.
