Nokia's CEO Justin Hotard stated that an independent entity for technology and AI will be crucial for the company and its clients: "The new corporate development team will speed up the advancement and implementation of our strategy while assisting our business."
He mentioned that Nokia must concentrate on areas where it can "more effectively differentiate itself through our core technologies, enhance its strengths in security and AI, and optimize the value of partnerships."
Pallavi Mahajan and Konstanty Owczarek will start at the company on October 1. The first will serve as Chief Technology and AI Officer, while the second will take on the role of Chief Corporate Development Officer.
Mahajan has served in leadership roles at Intel focused on data center, AI, and networking, and has occupied senior engineering roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Juniper Networks.
