Chinese optical transceiver manufacturer Zhongji Innolight has been granted approval by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) to go public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, according to a company announcement reported by Bloomberg. Sources close to the discussions indicate that the firm may secure as much as $8 billion.

Innolight is expected to start taking applications from investors as soon as next week, sources informed Bloomberg. They stated that the specifics of the agreement are still under negotiation, and the dimensions and schedule may vary.

If Innolight successfully raises $8 billion, it will be the biggest IPO in Hong Kong since Alibaba Group Holding, as reported by Bloomberg. The latter secured $12.9 billion in 2019.

Innolight is the leading global producer of optical transceivers; its technology is utilized in data centers for artificial intelligence. It provides its products to technology leaders like Nvidia, Alphabet, and Meta. Innolight's net earnings increased twofold in 2025, totaling 10.8 billion yuan ($1.6 billion).

Innolight's shares are currently traded on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, with the company's stock surging 454% since the start of the year. According to Bloomberg, Innolight's stock price has declined by 29% after reaching its peak in June.

Chinese firms that are already listed on the mainland are eagerly seeking to be listed in Hong Kong this year. Consequently, Hong Kong IPOs have generated roughly $35 billion since early 2026—nearly matching the total for all of 2025, which had been a peak year for many years.
