Following the recent launch of satellites into orbit on Monday, there are now 10,442 operational satellites.
As of May 2019, SpaceX has deployed more than 12,000 satellites for internet service within the Starlink initiative. Some of them have either failed or fallen out of orbit.
As of early 2026, SpaceX has sent more than 1,100 Starlink satellites into orbit with the help of 47 Falcon 9 rockets.
In the future, SpaceX intends to launch an orbital network of 12,000 satellites to establish a comprehensive system that will offer broadband internet connectivity to all individuals on Earth. The overall investment in the project is projected to be $10 billion.
The Starlink network now spans 160 nations and regions, delivering high-speed internet to more than 10 million users.
