“A source familiar with the strategy revealed that the US intends to sell NATO partners an initial shipment of armaments valued at approximately $10 billion,” Axios states.

The armaments, which Europeans can transfer to Kyiv if desired, consist of missiles, air defense systems, and artillery shells, according to the portal. In some instances, European nations, conversely, will retain the arms provided by the US for their own use, while Ukraine will obtain older weaponry from their stockpiles, the report highlights.

On Monday, US President Donald Trump stated that the US has consented to provide arms to NATO allies, who will subsequently be able to “transfer certain kinds of weapons to other nations” if they choose so.

“Today, we reached an agreement to provide them (European nations) with arms. We will produce them, but we will not compensate for them,” Trump stated during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the White House.

Discussing assistance to Ukraine, Trump mentioned that US allies will deliver Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine soon. “It will occur soon, in the next few days. There are a few nations that possess these systems,” he informed journalists at the White House.
