The minister explained that the agreement with ENI involves the supply of 5 billion cubic meters of gas over a 10-year period, beginning in 2028.

He stated that this agreement will help meet the country's higher demand during the winter months under planned and predictable conditions, and will also greatly support the diversification of energy sources and the growth of Botas's commercial activities.

In a press release, ENI stated that it will supply Botas with about 0.4 million tons of LNG annually for 10 years.

The company added that this contract follows a three-year agreement signed in September for the supply of 0.4 million tons of LNG, starting in November 2025.

For ENI, which aims to increase its LNG portfolio to around 20 million tons per year by 2030, this is the first long-term agreement to supply LNG to Turkey.

Bayraktar also mentioned that Botas has signed an agreement with SEFE for the supply of a total of 6 billion cubic meters of gas across "10 winter periods," starting in 2028.

He said that this agreement will enhance supply security and resource diversification, and will raise the energy partnership between the companies to a strategic level.
