Australia ($516.6 thousand) completes the top five.
At the same time, Luxembourg holds the top position for median wealth, with Switzerland in 7th place and the United States in 15th.
In the previous year, wealth in North and South America rose by 11.4%, whereas in the Asia-Pacific area, it grew by 2.9%, and in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Africa) - by merely 0.4%.
Denmark recorded the largest rise in per capita wealth among adults in 2024, with an increase of 13% in local currency. Active growth was noted in South Korea, Sweden, Ireland, Poland, and Croatia as well. The trends were unfavorable in India, Russia, Mexico, France, Great Britain, South Africa, the UAE, and Turkey.
In the last year, over 680 thousand new millionaires in dollars emerged globally. UBS anticipates an increase of 5.34 million individuals by 2029.
