In a statement released by the company, it was announced that Visa has rented 300,000 square feet (27,900 square meters) in the One Canada Square building for a period of 15 years. The relocation from its current location in Paddington is set to happen in 2028.

Earlier in August, the Financial Times had reported on this potential relocation, based on information from sources.

One Canada Square is home to a variety of businesses, including financial institutions, startups, shared workspace providers, and educational institutions. Notable tenants include the investment firm Brookfield and University College London (UCL).

In November, JPMorgan Chase & Co. also announced plans to build a new European headquarters in the same Canary Wharf area.
