Audi cuts 2025 deliveries by 2.9% despite record electric vehicle sales

Germany's Audi has lowered its 2025 vehicle delivery targets by 2.9%, citing a drop in demand in North America and China, according to the company's statement.

In total, Audi delivered 1.62 million vehicles in 2025, which is a decrease from the 1.67 million units delivered in the previous year.

The company mentioned that ongoing geopolitical and economic challenges have affected its performance in 2025. Increased competition in China and higher import tariffs in the U.S. have had a negative impact on the entire automotive industry and have caused changes in how consumers behave globally.

Audi's sales in China declined by 5% in 2025, reaching 617,514 vehicles. In North America, sales dropped by 12.2% to 202,143 units. In Europe, the company delivered 464,046 vehicles, a decrease of 0.5% compared to the previous year. However, in Germany, sales rose by 4%.

The company stated that deliveries have been increasing each month since September 2025.

Audi's sales of electric vehicles rose by 36% in 2025, hitting a record 223,000 units.

Overall, the company received 13% more orders for its vehicles in 2025, with electric vehicle orders increasing by 58%.
