Alphabet currently holds the third position in Berkshire's investment portfolio, with a value of $323.8 billion. Apple Inc. occupies the top position at $66 billion, American Express Co. is in second at $51.3 billion, Coca-Cola Co. is ranked fourth, and Bank of America Corp. takes fifth place.
In the second quarter, Berkshire further raised its investment in Delta Air Lines and retailer Macy's Inc., while selling its shares in alcoholic beverage firm Constellation Brands.
In the previous quarter, the investment company acquired shares valued at $23.5 billion and divested shares worth $3.7 billion. The company had been a net seller of stocks for 14 straight quarters before. Consequently, it gathered $380.2 billion in cash by the close of the first quarter, dropping to $364.7 billion by the end of the second quarter.
Buffett, who acquired Berkshire in 1965, retired as CEO in early 2026, yet continues as chairman of the board. Forbes magazine calculates his wealth at $143.1 billion.
