“All parties involved in the conflict are urged to take prompt actions to ease tensions swiftly, avoid destabilizing the region, and foster conditions conducive to returning to the appropriate course – resolving matters through dialogue,” stated Guo Jiakun, spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, according to The Global Times.
“China has consistently supported a peaceful resolution to the nuclear matter,” he stated during a briefing in Beijing.
Guo Jiakun noted that China will persist in collaborating with the involved parties to address the situation and establish favorable conditions for a diplomatic resolution to the Iranian nuclear matter. He added that achieving a long-term result through force is impossible.
