While Brazil reported a confirmed case of the virus infection – the first for the country and Latin America, multiple cases were reported from the Middle East and Europe.

At the same time, emergency response levels have been reduced in some parts of China with the slowing of reporting of fresh cases of the virus infection.

South Korea reported its 11th death from the disease on Wednesday and more people succumbing to the virus were reported from Iran and Italy.

A total of more than 80,000 people have been infected with the virus.

Civil protection chief of Italy, Angelo Borrelli, confirmed that a total of 12 people have died so far in the country while the number of infected has risen to 400. The major spread of the disease in the country has been in its northern region.

In the Middle East, evacuation of Qatari and Kuwaiti citizens from Iran was ordered by Qatar's ruler Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani over concerns of the viral infection spreading in the country, according to a tweet by the state news agency.

There are no plans of Iran to quarantine any "cities and districts" to try and restrict the spread of the coronavirus in the country, said Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. As many as 19 people have so far been killed by the deadly virus in Iran while infecting 139, according to the disclosure of the country’s health ministry.

However the country has put a ban on all public gatherings while also putting a ban on entry of travelers from Kuwait and Bahrain. A total of nine countries have now been put by Iran on a list form where travelers will not be allowed into the country. Starting February 27 and lasting till March 7, most of the schools and university will be suspended in the country while cinemas, cafes, clubs, and other public gathering spots all over Iran will remain closed.

The first positive case of the infection was reported from Norway, according to a statement from the country’s Public Health Agency, which added that the infected person was being kept isolated at home. The agency said that even though the person had returned from China last week, there were no symptoms of illness and that the individual is not likely to  have infected others.

On the other hand, a plane to the city of Milan in northern Italy, where the outbreak in the country is most severe, will be sent by Kuwait Airways to evacuate its citizens, the airline said on Twitter.

France also reported that one more person was detected with the coronavirus infection – the total number of infected cases rising to 18 in the country.

While Georgia and Macedonia reported its first confirmed case of coronavirus, a second confirmed case was reported from Finland.

Among the Asian countries, the number of confirmed cases in Pakistan went up by two
"Both cases are being taken care of according to clinical standard protocols and both of them are stable. No need to panic, things are under control,” said Pakistan's Health Minister Zafar Mirza on Twitter.

There were also reports of new confirmed cases of the virus infection from Germany – with seven new cases taking the total count of infected in the country to 19.

The World Health Organization said that more new cases of coronavirus infection are now being reported from outside of China than from China.
