French Engie boosts quarterly revenue by 5.6%

The French energy firm Engie raised its revenue by 5.6% in the first quarter and reiterated its annual outlook.

As stated in the company's press release, its revenue for January to March reached €23.3 billion compared to €22 billion during the same period last year. EBITDA increased by 0.4% to reach €5.4 billion.

EBITDA without the nuclear power sector increased by 1.3% to €4.9 billion.

EBIT fell by 0.9% to €4.13 billion (excluding the nuclear power sector - rose by 0.5% to €3.72 billion).

Engie reaffirmed its projections for 2025 and maintains its anticipation of net income from ongoing operations between €4.4 billion and €5 billion, with EBIT (not including nuclear power) expected to be in the range of €8-9 billion.

From the start of 2025, Engie's market capitalization has risen by 19.7% (reaching €42.8 billion), whereas the CAC 40 stock index has gained 5.9%.
