At a press conference on Thursday, UN cut its prediction for global economic growth in 2022 to 2.6 percent, according to UN Secretary-spokesperson General's Stéphane Dujarric.
"The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development today cut its global economic growth prediction for this year from 3.6 percent to 2.6 percent," the UN official said.
According to him, the reason for the forecast reduction was "the war in Ukraine and subsequent changes in macroeconomic policy by countries."
