A police spokesperson informed the Associated Press that there seemed to be no survivors following the plane crash.
The Air India aircraft, flying from Ahmedabad to London, reportedly crashed following its departure. A total of 242 individuals were on the vessel.
The aircraft collided with a medical professionals' hostel.
Prior to the crash, the pilots sent out a distress signal, but the dispatchers failed to respond.
