Pfizer’s Angela Hwang Joins UPS’ Board of Directors

Dailycsr.com – 27 July 2020 – On July 15, 2020, UPS made an announcement to reveal the name of a new board member, as Angela Hwang joined the board which had been “effective immediately”, reported the press release of UPS.
 
Hwang is 54 years old while she is part of the “Executive Team” of Pfizer as well as the “Group President” of the “Pfizer Biopharmaceuticals Group”, nearly 80% comprising of “Pfizer’s revenues”. In her role, over “26,000 global colleagues” work under Hwang while it is also her responsibility to bring “over 600 innovative medicines and products” to the global patients.
 
In the words of the executive chairman of UPS’ board, David Abney:
“The UPS Board engaged in a thorough search and evaluation to find the right candidate for this role. Angela’s expertise in the healthcare sector will bring added talent to our Board as we oversee the company’s strategic growth efforts in this area.”
