Salesforce to hire 3.3k employees after cutting 10% of staff

Salesforce Inc., a US-based company that offers cloud-based business solutions for customer engagement, intends to hire 3,300 people for several departments.

10% of the company's workforce were let go earlier this year as part of an operational restructuring.

The difficulty, according to Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, is to expand the business while maintaining a high level of profitability. “We are aware that we must employ thousands of people,” he told to Bloomberg.

According to Salesforce Chief Operating Officer Brian Millham, the company intends to add around the same number of sales representatives, engineers, and cloud division professionals.

“We aim to expand in those sectors since we now have some really profitable business lines,” he said.
