Four government sources informed the channel that the Trump administration is considering granting Iran access to $30 billion to develop a civilian nuclear program, lifting sanctions, and unblocking billions of dollars in Iranian assets.

Sources from CNN indicate that previous rounds of US-Iran discussions included conversations about investment in Iranian nuclear facilities. The White House asserts that the money will not be sourced directly from the US, but rather through allies in Arab nations.

They noted that a proposal is being reviewed for US allies in the Persian Gulf to finance the building of infrastructure to substitute the Fordow nuclear site, which was previously targeted by US strikes, but also devoid of the capacity to enrich uranium.
