OMB Director Russell Vought attributed the impending closures to "inadequate Democratic political demands, which consist of $1 trillion in additional spending."

He communicated with the leaders of federal agencies: "Consequently, the impacted agencies must now execute their strategies for a systematic closure."

Vought noted that, notwithstanding this, employees are required to report for work on their next scheduled workday to perform planned shutdown tasks.

"We will release a new memo indicating that government operations must restart immediately after the President signs the funding bill," he stated.

According to reports, the US Senate could not approve the temporary government funding bills proposed by both Democrats and Republicans; the shutdown is anticipated to commence at midnight from Tuesday to Wednesday local time.
