At the finish, the top bid, €112,500, went to this “Pussy Galore” Rolex Master dating to approximately 1958. This watch model combines functionality with an elegant aeronautical style: it was designed in 1954 for Pan Am pilots at a time when air travel was glamorous. It also ended up on the wrists of celebrities like Pablo Picasso , Eric Clapton and even Fidel Castro! Recognizable among all GMT-Masters, the 6542 is the only reference without shoulders.
