90 per cent of U.S. and Canadian companies report increase in cybersecurity threats


In 2023, % of North American businesses faced cybersecurity risks, according to the Wall Street Journal’s survey of compliance specialists.

Approximately 50% of those polled said that these dangers have increased significantly.

Furthermore, dangers related to the digitalization of business were mentioned by 71% of respondents and a rise in regulatory risks was observed by 78% of respondents.

About 300 professionals were polled by WSJ, with almost 75% of respondents being from the United States and 4% coming from Canada. A little over one-third are employed in the financial industry, thirteen percent in professional and commercial services, and nine percent in technology.
