As per FT sources, talks regarding the agreement between Prada and Capri started several months back. The firms might finish it “in a matter of weeks.” At first, Capri requested €3 billion for the sale of Versace, causing negotiations to be postponed.
Capri Holding, the owner of Michael Kors and Jimmy Choo, purchased the Italian fashion brand Versace in 2018 for €1.85 billion. In addition to its main brand, Prada also owns Miu Miu and Church’s.
