According to a statement from the firm, Adobe "today announced a definitive deal to merge with and acquire Figma, a premier collaborative website design platform, for approximately $20 billion in cash and equity."
In Adobe's opinion, the partnership between the two businesses will "usher in a new era of collaborative creativity," "redefine the future of creativity and productivity, accelerate the creative process on the Internet, improve product design, and inspire global communities of creators, designers, and developers."
The combined business "will have substantial, high-growth market prospects and the ability to significantly enhance value for customers, shareholders, and the whole industry," according to the report.
