According to The Wall Street Journal, Prime Air, which provides package delivery in about 30 minutes, is currently active in 11 metropolitan regions, such as Phoenix, Detroit, Houston, and Dallas. By year’s end, the service will additionally launch in Chicago, Atlanta, Cleveland, and other prominent cities.

Amazon employs drones to transport groceries, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and household items.

"This year, we have already shipped hundreds of thousands of packages to our clients using drones," stated David Carbon, Vice President of Prime Air.

Air delivery in the US is viewed as an encouraging industry, but launching the service comes with difficulties, as stated by the WSJ. Drone operators specifically encounter regulatory challenges, safety issues, and limitations on flights during poor weather conditions.
