As Apple is preparing to launch its first flagship stores in the second-largest smartphone market in the world as soon as this quarter, the company has started hiring retail store staff in India and has announced plans to fill many other roles.
According to sources cited by The Wall Street Journal, Apple has accelerated efforts to relocate some of its manufacturing outside of China and has asked suppliers to more aggressively arrange to assemble its devices in other Asian nations, including India and Vietnam.
The business also wants to rely less on Taiwanese manufacturers, particularly Foxconn Technology.
