British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has indicated that access for US military forces to British bases should be restricted to objectives focused on undermining Iran’s defense systems, including missile silos or supply depots that may pose a risk to British interests or those of allies in the Gulf region.

At the conclusion of March, the UK granted the US permission to utilize bases on its soil to target Iranian positions that threaten vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.

Previously, US President Donald Trump reiterated a 48-hour ultimatum to Tehran, insisting on an agreement with Washington and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Otherwise, he warned that he would "release chaos" on Iran. In retaliation, the Iranian military leadership vowed to “bring hell” to the United States.
