“In 2019, with the help of seven launches, 10 satellites were launched. A satellite network in the low-altitude low Earth orbit Beidou-3 was formed. This suggests that the formation of the main elements of the constellation of the Beidou-3 system has been completed,” said the project’s spokesman, head of the China Satellite Navigation Office.

The revenue of China's Beidou satellite navigation system in 2020 will exceed 400 billion yuan ($ 56.46 billion). Experts estimate the industry's growth rate since 2012 at an average of 20% per year.

At the same time, they note that, with the development of 5G networks, the Beidou satellite system will be used for dispatching airports and aerodromes, ensuring the autonomous operation of robotics, unmanned vehicles, logistics systems and other areas. Around 700 million devices with Beidou interaction chips are now working around the world.
