Coca-Cola sales grow in first half 2022


According to a statement from the company, sales at Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (Coca-Cola HBC) increased 18.1% year over year in the first half of 2022 to 1.33 billion cases, or nearly 7.6 billion liters.

Sales in emerging markets increased 20% to 794.1 million cases (about 4.5 billion liters). A case is equivalent to roughly 5.678 liters. In comparison to the previous year, the company's sales from emerging countries increased 35.6 percent to €2 billion.

The period's net income increased by 29% to €4.2 billion.

The cost to the business of work restrictions in Russia in the first half of the year is assessed at €190 million; additional costs of € 82 million are anticipated in the second half of the year, which negatively affects the company’s forecast.
