The European Commission (EC) has approved a support package for EU farmers most affected by the conflict in Ukraine, the agency said.
The size of the package of assistance to agricultural producers of the EU will amount to €500 million, the authorities will use its anti-crisis reserves, the message specified.
It is noted that the EU states can send these funds for additional financial support to farmers and thus contribute to global food security.
