As of August 27, Musk's fortune is estimated at $101 billion. At the same time, at the beginning of the year, according to BBI, it was at around $27.4 billion. Thus, since the beginning of the year, the billionaire's fortune has grown by $73.6 billion - 3.7 times.

The increase happened due to the rise in Tesla share prices. Tesla shares gained 6.42% on Wednesday to trade at $2,153.17 at the close. And on August 20, Tesla's stock quotes rose above $2,000 for the first time in history. In January, the company's shares were valued at $430.26. Thus, since the beginning of the year, Tesla's capitalization has grown 4.7 times.

At the same time, Musk is still in fourth place in the BBI rating. The first place is still occupied by the head of Amazon Jeff Bezos with a wealth of $202 billion, in the second - the founder of Microsoft Bill Gates, whose capital is estimated at $124 billion. The third line is occupied by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg ($115 billion).
