FTSE 100 hits weekly maximum for 10 months

Due to encouraging information on the state of the Chinese economy, stock indices of the biggest Western European nations ended trading on Friday with gains.

Stoxx Europe 600, the composite index of the biggest European companies, rose 0.2% for the day to reach 461.93 points.

German index DAX increased by 0.6%, French CAC 40 increased by 1%, Italian FTSE MIB increased by 0.1%, and Spanish IBEX 35 increased by 0.01%.

The British FTSE 100 reached its highest point in three months on Friday after growing by 0.5%. According to Trading Economics, the index increased 3.3% over the previous week, the largest increase in ten months.
