Bloomberg's surveyed analysts believe that ECB Executive Board member Isabel Schnabel possesses the highest qualifications to replace Lagarde after her term concludes. De Cos is in second place, and Knot is in third place.
Earlier this week, the Eurogroup announced its decision to name Croatian Central Bank Governor Boris Vujicic as the new Vice President of the ECB. Vujicic will assume his new role on June 1 and will be the initial representative from Eastern Europe on the ECB's Executive Board.
