In 1987 a psychoanalyst from Angers bought this 1975 painting directly from the artist to hang in his new office. It is being sold with copies of Morellet's working documents, such as the model on graph paper, a beautiful testament to his work. Born in Cholet in the Loire region, Morellet did not study art and worked in the family toy business until 1975. That did not keep him from creating works of the highest order... read more
