H3C company is valued at $ 4.5 billion. It is expected that after the deal a joint venture with a staff of about 8 thousand employees will be formed. And annual revenue of $ 3.1 billion will be one of the leading players in the Chinese IT market. Also, being an official of the Chinese company, H3C will be able to apply for state contracts.

- HP is taking a bold step to success in China. We are changing the positioning of the Hewlett-Packard and H3C Technologies and thus multiply our results by helping customers and partners , - explained HP president Meg Whitman in a statement. It is emphasized that HP retains full control over segments of its business in China, associated with printing equipment, personal computers and software.

The reason for the sale was the cooling of political relations between the US and China. Increased bilateral tension impedes the success of the high-tech companies of the two countries in each other's markets.

Recall that the total revenue of the company Hewlett-Packard for the I quarter fell by 5% on an annualized basis. This is stated in the materials of the reporting organization, published on Thursday.

Revenue was $ 26.8 billion. In 2014, for the first three months, it has decreased by 1% to $ 28.2 billion.

Earnings per share over the same period last year increased by 2% to $ 0.92 per unit. Net income per share increased 1% to $ 0.73.

A year earlier, earnings per share were $ 0.74, up from $ 0.63 in the I quarter of 2013.

"The first quarter of fiscal 2015 is already behind us and we continue to move", - said HP’s president and CEO Meg Whitman. She noted the increase in investment in innovation. "Our progress continues," - said Whitman.

Recall, Hewlett Packard  is the largest American company in the field of information technology. It supplies hardware and software for organizations and private consumers. In addition, Hewlett Packard provides solutions in the field of IT-infrastructure, personal computing and access devices.
