India plans to propose the formation of a biofuel alliance in order to accelerate energy transition and protect the environment, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an interview with the Press Trust of India news agency.
“Today, there are health-conscious people in every community. Everything they buy, consume, and do is centered on how it will benefit their health. Their decisions are influenced by both the immediate effects as well as the long-term effects. People from all across the world may collaborate to understand our planet in a similar way by basing their lifestyle choices on their long-term effects on the environment. A new step in that direction will be the biofuel coalition,” according to Modi.
He recalled that India has already initiated the International Solar Alliance to promote solar energy and the Mission Life movement, which was introduced by Modi in November 2021. The movement, created and led by India, aims to encourage individual and collective action to protect and preserve the environment.
