Hugging Face has a platform that supports extensive language models (LLMs) and publicly available datasets. In 2023, it was assessed at $4.5 billion during a funding round spearheaded by Salesforce Inc., Google (part of Alphabet Inc.), and Nvidia.

In January of this year, the Financial Times disclosed that Hugging Face declined Nvidia's $500 million funding proposal, estimating the total platform worth at $7 billion. The Information reports that the firm's yearly revenue is around $150 million.

Approximately a month prior, the AI firm OpenAI announced that its models, during internal cybersecurity evaluations, had circumvented security protocols intended to keep them away from the internet and achieved unauthorized entry, including into Hugging Face's systems.
