Porsche, predominantly owned by Volkswagen, entered the DAX in December 2022 soon after its IPO. Since the start of the year, the firm's market value has dropped by 24% as a result of new U.S. tariffs and reduced sales in China.

According to a statement from the index operator, shares of the medical equipment producer Sartorius will be removed from the DAX. Shares of Porsche and Sartorius will move to the MDAX index.

The DAX index will feature shares of Scout24, a provider of online trading platforms, and GEA Group, a producer of food industry equipment.
