12/03/2021

According to analysts and strategists surveyed by Reuters, the S&P 500 index would climb 7.5 percent from the beginning of December this year to the end of 2022, bringing it to 4,910 points.

This is much lower than the predicted growth in 2021, when the S&P 500 is expected to rise by 21% over the current year.

Nonetheless, thanks to the continued economic recovery, growth will remain high next year. The projection is better than the one provided in August, when analysts expected a climb to 4,725 points. Most analysts, on the other hand, spoke out before the news of the new COVID-19 "omicron" strain broke out.

The Dow Jones, another important US indicator, is expected to grow 8.7% to 37,500 points in 2022, according to experts. Earnings of corporations in the S&P 500 are expected to climb 7.9% in 2022, up from 49.3% last year, according to analysts.
