US stock indexes rose during trading on Tuesday, while the S&P 500 reached its highest level in the last 12 weeks, Trading Economics notes.

Investors focused on the prospects of increasing business activity in connection with the weakening of quarantine measures, while concern about protests in the US receded into the background, writes MarketWatch.

On Monday, President Donald Trump called on state governors to restore order on their territory using the necessary number of National Guard fighters. In recent days, protests and riots have not subsided in 
“I recommend that the governors use a sufficient number of National Guard fighters in order to establish control over what is happening on the streets,” Trump said during an appeal to the nation.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said on Tuesday that a curfew imposed in the city would remain in effect until the end of the week, CNN reports. 

However, the attention of investors is mainly focused on the efforts of companies to resume activities after lockdowns, writes MarketWatch.
